HOW TO DECIDE THE SOUND DEVICE IN MOTHERBOARD DAMAGED

IF your PC do not produce any sound try these steps:
1.check the speaker
2.try to play an mp3 file-then it shows some error,if your driver or on board sound device damaged also if you have the problem with speaker file plays but don't shows any error.thus you can decide if the problem is in speaker or in driver and motherboard.
3.then if the problem is in driver-do this go to run then type dxdiag and when prompt click yes.then go to audio tab, there you can see the your audio driver.reinstall the driver with CD or device manager.
4.if above steps fails and also in the dxdiag box no sound driver is shown after reinstalling sound drive then it is definitely the problem of your mother board.its sound producing Chip may damaged.just buy a sound card and insert it in the motherboard white(probably) slot.
